Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

For those interested in Martial Arts Training focusing on the ground, we offer our students the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program. IM Sports will try to answer the question, "How do you defend yourself on the ground?" The Beginner in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu  will learn the basics with the Gi (Uniform). As he or she learns the fundamentals of positioning and advantages of leverage, the practitioner my begin training without the Gi.  With proper training with this and our Muay Thai program, they may enter our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) stage of training. 
The ground grappling system consists of 3 parts:
1. Positioning/Controls 2. Escapes/reversals 3.Finishes/submissions

IM Sports New Jersey is proud to be affiliated with mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu's elite group "American Top Team". ATT Black Belt and mma fighter Andre "Gigueto" Soares will be teaching BJJ and MMA at the Pine Brook, Bergenfield and Hackettstown locations in NJ starting November 28, 2005.
